Anne Cleveland, Vice President
Anne Kaminer Cleveland has lived in Charlottesville since 1964. She owned and operated Kaminer & Thomson Printing Company for  30 years. She was active as a singer and actor in several community theater organizations and church choirs from 1970-1993 when she played her last roll as Agnes in I Do I Do. Anne and her husband Sam, an architect, ran the arts publication Charlottesville Arts & Entertainment from 1994 – 2009. Anne and Sam  served on the Board of Second Street Gallery for 12 years. Anne began volunteering with ASG about 12 years ago when Kaminer & Thomson became the preferred printer of ASG. She joined the board in 2010 and currently works at McClung Companies in Waynesboro, VA.

Jeff Gould – Secretary
Jeff has worked in behavioral health for over 30 years, both in clinical and administrative areas. Currently he is the administrator of the Charlottesville/Albemarle Adult Drug Treatment Court. He previously served as the Executive Director of New Land Industries in Lynchburg. He has also served as Adjunct Associate Professor at Lynchburg College and Director of Substance Abuse Services at two Community Services Boards. He holds degrees from Colby College in Maine, and the University of Virginia, and was a Licensed Professional Counselor for twenty years. He and his wife Nanci moved from upstate New York to Central Virginia in 1980.

Cynthia Neff, President Emeritus
Cynthia Neff moved to Charlottesville in 2006, after retiring as an Executive at IBM. She began volunteer work in Charlottesville at CASA, working as an advocate for abused and neglected children.  Cynthia is serving in her 6th year with the AIDS/HIV Services Group Board of Directors and has been President for the past 2 years.  She serves on the Advisory Council of the Legal Aid Justice Center and has done volunteer work there on issues of the incarcerated.  She co-chairs a national organization called TrueChild which is a recognized action tank of experts on gender.  She sits on the Board of Advocates for a Sustainable Albemarle Popluation, serves on the County’s Places29 Advisory Council and is Vice Chair of the Albemarle County Democratic Party Steering Committee.  Recently she was a founder of the Women’s Strike Force, a Virginia PAC established to fight the legislative assault on women.

David E. Schmitt, MD
Dr. Schmitt has practiced HIV-specialty primary care medicine for over twenty years in Miami and Miami Beach, where he was raised and lived until he and his wife, Lettie Bien, moved to Charlottesville in the summer of 2011.  He has been a credentialed member of the American Academy of HIV Medicine since its inception in 2001, and is an Internist licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia and State of Florida.  Dr. Schmitt is dedicated to promoting quality health outcomes to people living with HIV and he joined the Board of Directors of ASG to offer his new community his experience in this area of care.
